Sports and Recreation

The Cherbourg Sports Complex provides a gathering space for community to participate in structured sports as well as recreational activities to promote healthy lifestyles. It is the goal of the sports complex staff to support and provide opportunities for community members to compete and participate in sporting events and role model positive behaviour for Cherbourg youth.

Community youth gather at the complex afterschool hours to play and engage in programs provided by the Cherbourg Sports Complex staff. The afterschool program aims to involve children in regular physical activity to instil a lifelong foundation of healthy living through exercise. The program provides a fun and friendly environment for children to come afterschool and partake in physical activity.

The complex is also utilised as a gathering location for community and stakeholder program meetings.
