Cut your Grass?

This is a Cherbourg Council notice to all residents about overgrown grass.
Overgrown grass in your yard may lead to the harbouring of pests (rats, mice, and snakes) which can create problems in the case of a fire.


DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN BREACH OF YOUR TENANCY IF:-
Your yard is messy and is overgrown with grass ( It is your responsibility to keep your yard neat and tidy) .

As per the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 Section 26 -s (2)
TENANT’S OBLIGATIONS:

The tenant MUST:-

  • Keep the premises, yard and any inclusions clean.

We request that you as the tenant co-operate with us and keep your lawn short, clean and have all rubbish removed .. Council will be monitoring this so please take notice as failure to do so will result in you being issued with a notice to clean your yard.
Should you wish to have your yard mowed you could find the local mowing services in the yellow pages, on the internet or facebook.
Council are here to help all Community Members and if we work together we can build a better Cherbourg today and for the future.
