Position Vacant: Animal Welfare Officer

Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council is seeking an Animal Welfare Officer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all animal complaints are handled promptly and efficiently, and for enforcing animal control by-laws.

Key responsibilities include providing education and advice to the community, promoting responsible pet ownership, and maintaining accurate records and reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a commitment to providing high-quality customer service.

Under the Qld Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, people applying for the position must identify as being Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
