Position Vacant – Female Gym Coordinator

Permanent Part-Time | 36.25 Hours per Fortnight

Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council is inviting applications for the position of Female Gym Coordinator at the Jundah Women’s Gym, located within the Cherbourg Sports Complex.

This permanent part-time role is an opportunity to make a positive difference by promoting healthy lifestyles for women and girls in Cherbourg through fitness, recreation and community participation.

The successful applicant will coordinate a range of physical activities, manage the day-to-day operation of the Jundah Women’s Gym, and deliver women-only fitness programs in a culturally respectful environment. The position also includes promoting safe use of gym equipment, maintaining a clean and welcoming facility, and supporting community wellbeing initiatives.

Essential Requirements

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain one)
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Current Senior First Aid or Apply First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
  • Well-developed administration and computer skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
  • Experience working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people will be highly regarded.

Employment Conditions

  • 36.25 hours per fortnight
  • Probationary period applies
