First Nations – Communications – Radio, Digital Media & Marketing Traineeship – Vacancy

We are seeking a confident, motivated, and digital star seeking to start a career journey in the Communications (Radio, Digital Media & Marketing) sector.

Reporting to Radio Station Manager you will learn about all aspects of programming, broadcasting, promotions, digital media (Facebook & Instagram) and marketing.

You won’t be working alone in this role, we have other experts that will support and guide you on your career.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake guided study in a Certificate II or III media, programming, broadcasting, or promotions
  • Assist the Radio team in programming, broadcasting, and scheduling
  • Ensure media and social media standards, ethics and guidelines are met and adhered to
  • Proactively source, monitor, and create relevant, engaging positive content
  • Connect positively with the community through on air and social media and attending events.
  • Coordinate and Maintain Client Engagement through suitable promotions
  • Assist and Manage and Maintain – Council Website and social media
  • Provide support at community events when necessary
