We are seeking a confident, motivated, and creative digital star, seeking to start a career journey in the Communications (Radio, Digital Media & Marketing) sector.
This is a 12 month Traineeship with potential to continue depending on funding.
Reporting to Radio Station Manager you will learn about all aspects of programming, broadcasting, promotions, digital media (Facebook & Instagram etc) and marketing.
You won’t be working alone in this role, we have other experts that will support and guide you on your career.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertake guided study throughout this traineeship in either a Certificate II or III media, programming, broadcasting, or promotions
- Assist the Radio team in administration of programming, broadcasting, and scheduling
- Ensure media and social media standards, ethics and guidelines are met and adhered to
- Proactively source, monitor, and create relevant, engaging positive content relevant to community
- Connect positively with the community through on air and social media and attending events to record and edit.
- Coordinate and Maintain Client Engagement through suitable promotions
- Assist, Manage and Maintain – Council Website content and social media posts
- Provide media support at community events when necessary
