Increased restrictions have been announced for the South East Queensland region including the local government areas of Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley, Moreton Bay and Somerset.
From 1am Tuesday 29 June 2021, increased restrictions will apply for people living in South East Queensland, these increased restrictions will be reviewed on Tuesday 13 July, 2021.
South East Queensland:
- Carry a mask and wear it whenever you are outside the home including in shopping centres, public transport, hospitals, workplaces (when you can’t social distance) exclusions include exercising with your household or when seated.
- You must be seated when eating or drinking at a cafe or restaurant.
- All indoor settings: 1 person per 4 square metres or 100% capacity with ticketed and allocated seating.
- Private gatherings: 30 people maximum including residents, visitors and children.
- Weddings: 1 person per 4 square metres or 100 people (whichever is greater) or 100% capacity with ticketed and allocated seating, limited to 20 people dancing at any one time.
- Funerals: 1 person per 4 square metres or 100 people (whichever is greater) or 100% capacity with ticketed and allocated seating.
Rest of Queensland
- If you have been in South East Queensland in the last 14 days you must carry a mask and wear it whenever you are outside the house (excluding vigorous exercise or when seated).
Current restrictions for all of Queensland
- All indoor settings: 1 person per 2 square metres, or 100 per cent capacity with ticketed and allocated seating
- Private gatherings: limited to a maximum of 100 people
- Indoor wedding ceremonies and funerals: 1 person per 2 square metres or 200 people (whichever is greater) or 100 per cent capacity with ticketed and allocated seating.
