- No cases of COVID-19 in Cherbourg to date
- Hot Spots for COVID-19 are Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Cairns
- Do Not Travel to Cherbourg unless prepared to self-isolate for 14 days in the South Burnett
Message from Mayor Elvie Sandow and CEO Zala
To the residents of Cherbourg Community, we are pleased to advise that there have been no cases of COVID-19 reported within our community since movement restrictions have been put into place.
However, we do know COVID-19 Hotspots in Queensland have been identified as Brisbane, Cairns, The Gold and Sunshine Coast regions. For this reason, we are asking that no one travels to our Cherbourg community from these areas.
If you must travel from these “Hot Spot” areas, you will be required to *self-isolate in the South Burnett region for 14 days before being allowed into community.
*Note: Self-isolation cannot be in the hot-spot areas prior to travel, it MUST be in the local South Burnett area.
