Internal / External – Full Time Vacancy – Manager Civil, Road & Waste Manager (Operations
Department)
Due to CASC experiencing organisational growth and infrastructure developments across community we
are now seeking a suitable candidate for the role of – Manager – Civil, Roads and Waste.
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be leading the Civil, Roads and Works team to
maintain, construct, the parks and gardens, waste management, waste collection, transfer and
disposal works, roads, footpaths and drainage.
Selection Criteria
⮚ Exemplary leadership and communication skills
⮚ Ability to establish and maintain effective risk management and regulatory compliance
⮚ Self-starter, proactive and able to motivate teams
⮚ Sound knowledge of plan and design interpretation
⮚ Experience in road, footpath and drainage construction and maintenance works
⮚ Experience in waste collection, transfer and disposal works
⮚ “C” and “HR” class driver’s licences
⮚ Current White Card (Construction Safety Induction)
⮚ Strong connection to and knowledge of local Indigenous Community
Desirable
⮚ Knowledge of local area and working conditions
⮚ Undertaken formal training/studies in the road construction/maintenance field
⮚ Desirable to have undertaken formal training/studies in supervision/management
⮚ Desirable to have undertaken formal training/studies in the road construction/maintenance/parks
and gardens/waste management fields
⮚ Desirable to have at least 10 years’ practical work experience within the works and services
department of a Local Government
⮚ At least 5 years’ practical supervisory experience.
