Manager required for: Cherbourg Wellbeing Indigenous Corporation
An opportunity to join the newly established Cherbourg Wellbeing Indigenous Corporation Justice Reinvestment in Cherbourg. The managers position is is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, specifically designed as an Identified position for applicants of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. If you are passionate about making a significant impact in reducing interactions with the justice system and incarceration rates within our communities, you are invited you to apply.
Role Summary: In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Board to lead and enhance the delivery of high-quality services through effective management of resources, staff, and community relationships. Your efforts will be crucial in developing strategies and frameworks that meet the complex needs of our clients, including children, families, and the wider community.
Key Requirements:
- Recognition as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent within the community.
- Holder of a Working with Children Blue Card.
- Possession of a Class C QLD Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in human services and management preferred, though formal qualifications are not mandatory.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing organizational resources in line with strategic objectives and best practices.
- Developing and overseeing service delivery and improvement strategies.
- Building sustainable relationships with government and non-government sectors.
- Regular reporting and proactive support to the Board.
