Cherbourg Wellbeing Ltd in partnership with Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council would like to advise that the Sporting Complex Outdoor fields will undergo some upgrade and maintenance this week with contractors to do the following work.
- Wednesday 20th January – BSG Civil will commence spraying the fields for weed control using (Genfarm Metsulfuron 600 WG Herbicide) 1 day operation
- Friday 22nd January – Plant Machinery bought on site and commence the levelling of the fields, top dressed and seeding.
· Once this stage is completed the installation of the irrigation and sprinkler system for the fields will commence and be completed by Cooloola Pump and Irrigation.
For the Workplace Health & Safety of the community and contractors Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council have secured the fencing around the fields and locked all entrance and installed signage for the duration of this project and is classified as a construction site.
This project will provide the community with new field to be utilise by several sports and events in the future. Please assist us by staying off and monitoring the area for the benefit of the community.
