Workshop Supervisor Wanted

Cherbourg is located in the South Burnett Region of Queensland about a 3-hour drive northwest of Brisbane.  Or approximately one hours drive west of Gympie.  The township is located 7 km from Murgon.  The South Burnett has a range of facilities, schools, supermarkets, golf courses, swimming pools, dams, fishing, wineries, and restaurants.

The role of Workshop Supervisor will include, supervising two mature age apprentices, fleet management, dealing with the Department of Transport for registering and deregistering of vehicles, selling off surplus vehicles and machinery, vehicle procurement using Local Government guidelines, parts purchasing, minor project management, fleet allocation, engaging external contractors when required for machinery breakdowns, fuel storage and usage management and monitoring, maintaining vehicle / machinery service and repair records. Hours of work are 36.25 per week. 

The successful candidate will hold Trade Qualifications, HR Licence, experience as Workshop Supervisor, able to use Microsoft suite, ability to follow and implement sound work health and safety practices and experience working in an Aboriginal Community will be highly regarded.  Pay will be in accord with the Local Government Award Stream A.
